Murata's underwater CO2 concentration measuring device enables easy and highly accurate measurement of CO2 in the ocean. Continuous measurement of underwater CO2 concentration has traditionally been considered difficult, so, by making it more accessible, this device holds the potential to greatly change methods for evaluating blue carbon. 07.29.2025Heat risk prevention Devices - Strengthening the Quality Control Process with AMR Sensor-based Power Control - Biodata Bank
Due to the impact of global warming and other factors, the importance of heat risk prevention has increased in recent years. Biodata Bank, a company that develops and sells wearable devices for heat risk prevention, utilized AMR sensors from Murata Manufacturing in its inspection process for finished products, to achieve a high level of quality control. We spoke with the company about why they adopted AMR sensors, how they are used, what they gained from co-creation with Murata Manufacturing, their plans for future co-creation, etc.

Murata Manufacturing has developed a “proximity and force sensor” that paves the way toward innovations in human–machine interfaces (HMIs), and “invisible ID tags” that make it possible to append authentication information without reducing the attractiveness of the product design. Examples of both were revealed at CEATEC 2023.

21.03.2024“Ultrasound Transmission Metamaterial” that Expands the Range of Places where Ultrasonic Sensors Can Be Used to Include Medicine and Automobiles
Murata Manufacturing has developed a new “ultrasound transmission metamaterial” technology with the potential to expand the range of places where ultrasonic sensors can be used. Previous ultrasonic sensors were unable to measure target objects located on the other side of a barrier made of a material such as metal or resin. The new ultrasonic metamaterial eliminates these limitations on measurement and has the potential to spur innovation in a variety of areas such as medical, automotive, and social infrastructure.
